studying

i always believe that whoever that created langueges are the most creative bunch of people that the world ever had. They formed the bridge of communication, and yet they never forget have some fun among themselve. thousand years had gone, and yet the great sense of humour that our ancester once had still flow through our capillary 24/7.

the name 'hotmail' was used because that was the only word that can fit 'html' into the name

the name 'apple' was used because the CEO warned the staff that if they cant think of a name by 5pm he will use 'apple' as the name of the latest product

google was used because the first bank check the co-founder received written 'google' instead of the original name tat i have forgotten

and i believe that the word 'studying' was origin from the phrase ' student is dying'

i am 'studying'

Naked woman drops through ceiling

A Russian couple had a narrow escape when their naked neighbour dropped in - through the ceiling.

Rozalia Valiakhmetova had been relaxing in the bath when the floor gave way, dropping her and the bath tub into the flat below.

She said: "I had just dozed off and then I heard this huge crash and realised what had happened. The bathroom floor just collapsed under the bath and I came crashing through the ceiling of the people below me.

"They seemed as shocked as I was when they saw me lying there naked in the bath in the middle of their living room."

She was treated at a local hospital for injuries to her leg but otherwise was unhurt.

Local council engineers said the floors in the old apartment block in Solnechnaya in the Surgut district of Russia where Valiakhmetova lived were supported by wood which had rotted over the years.

i'm so sure that i've seen this story line in one of the MV, but can't remember what song is that...but anyway, it's weird~~~ Do hope it happened on me though..hahahah...ofoz i want to be the one downstair......

A song for you

click here to listen to the song. i've translated the lyrics into englsih. the song title is 'leaf'. read it while reading the lyrics would give you the right feeling....

Leaf, is a wing that can’t fly

Wings, are leaves that fall in heaven

Heaven is not suppose to be a dream

But I have long forgotten

How did I start to fly

Loneliness, is a gaiety of being alone

Gaiety, is the loneliness of everyone

Now I understand, love begun with companionship

But I am slowly forgotten

How do I have someone to accompany

All by myself, I eat, travel, walk and rest in everywhere

And all by myself, I read books, write letter and talk to myself

But I have no idea where my heart flies to

I can’t see it at all

I guess you are not the only thing that I’ve lost

All by myself, I eat, travel, walk and rest in everywhere

And all by myself, I read books, write letter and talk to myself

But I have no idea where my heart flies to

I can’t see it at all

I guess, you are not the only thing that I’ve lost

have you ever wonder why some song's lyrics just fit your feeling perfectly well? its not miracle or fate, it's because someone in the world, suffered as much as you did.

why do people love to listen to sad song when they are sad? do they want to make themselve even more sappy?

i don't know how the logics go, but i believe, when the song fits your feeling, and you are touched, cry as you wish. but every song lasted less than 5 minutes. After the song, its about time for you to stop being sad like how the song end.

We have average life of 70 years, what we had, what we are suffering now, lasted less than 5 minutes compare to our everlasting life...

Synopsis:
At 15, she asks, "I go to a Malay school. I don't speak Chinese. Am I still Chinese?" Then she decides with zeal, "Maybe I shouldn't be a Chinese then!"
Fifteen years later, all grown up and world-weary, she questions relationships: "What we have is not perfect, so this must be love!"

This is The Girl From Ipoh - Wong Mei Lee's life story told in an hour and fifteen minutes. It is her life straight out of a black and white 1960s film, her little world made out of those little voices singing in her head and the loves of her life. It is a Chinese love story, told to redeem her Chinese roots.

The play explores an issue that plagues many-a-Malaysian - when is a Chinese person not Chinese enough? Does speaking English without sounding Chinese make them a traitor to their culture? Or does speaking 'mat-salleh' sounding Chinese make them an abomination to the race? Does liking everything Western mean a degradation of everything that is Asian?

Directed by Low Ngai Yuen, with Music Director Penny Low. This is their first collaboration, fusing their great talents in the fields of theater and music respectively. The music is this musical/drama will be performed by the pioneering all women A Capella group LiT Performers.

Starring Carmen Soo in the title role, with Lee Swee Keong, Tony Eusoff and Season Chee.

Michael Buble - Home

Another summer day
Has come and gone away
In Paris and Rome
But I wanna go home
Mmmmmmmm

Maybe surrounded by
A million people I
Still feel all alone
I just wanna go home
Oh I miss you, you know

And I’ve been keeping all the letters that I wrote to you
Each one a line or two
“I’m fine baby, how are you?”
Well I would send them but I know that it’s just not enough
My words were cold and flat
And you deserve more than that

Another aeroplane
Another sunny place
I’m lucky I know
But I wanna go home
Mmmm, I’ve got to go home

Let me go home
I’m just too far from where you are
I wanna come home

And I feel just like I’m living someone else’s life
It’s like I just stepped outside
When everything was going right
And I know just why you could not
Come along with me
But this was not your dream
But you always believed in me

Another winter day has come
And gone away
And even Paris and Rome
And I wanna go home
Let me go home

And I’m surrounded by
A million people I
Still feel alone
Oh, let me go home
Oh, I miss you, you know

Let me go home
I’ve had my run
Baby, I’m done
I gotta go home
Let me go home
It will all be allright
I’ll be home tonight
I’m coming back home

password

'boy~open the door!'
'what's the passoword?'
' i bought nasi lemak mata kerbau for you'
the door opened.

i used to play this wit hmy sisters quite often when i was still in high school. tried to look up on wikipedia on password, end up showing type of password, rate of which attacker can guessed out, what is a good and bad password n bla bla bla. wanted to know who started this password trend actually.

okey, so by defination on the usage of password, The password is kept secret from those not allowed access, and those wishing to gain access are tested on whether or not they know the password and are granted or denied access accordingly.

so ya, the key function is to keep secret. So my question is, do you share your password with your boyfriend/girlfriend/partner?

from what i can see, almost all the deeply in love couples know each other email address' password. what does this action imply? I DID NOT KEEP A SECRET FROM YOU? then it must be a crime not to share the password for most of the girls ( according to my own survey, girls hate boyfriend kept a secret behind her, forgive my ignorant if you are not). But if you do share the password, then the password loses its function, because it help you to keep secret from those who wish to gain access, which in this situation, your partner!

i still remember how angry my sister was when i read her letter even though i'm too young to understand . email, just like other communication method, often contains personal and private information. By giving the password away, the person have no choice whether he or she wish to share the information to the partner or not. This can be considered as intrution.

what make you being comfortable to give a password to a person that has a different blood line and has no relation to you in what so ever before meeting you? the reason for you two being so intimate currently maybe due to pheromone, opposition body odour or perhaps due to the most 'abstractive' object---love.

remember how ppl love to quantify love by saying love is like a glass of wine n bla bla bla? i get annoyed by the hypocrisy of those people for trying to quantify the abstract with beautiful scenary and object

SHIT~~~i lost the bottom part....damn it...

anyway, i was saying if you want me to describe love, i would say love is like an underwear, you dont feel it and you almost forgot about it when you are wearing it, but once u are not wearing it, you got this discomfort feeling even though you have much freedom, it's like something incomplete. or even better, love is like a durian where only the ppl who are eating it able to enjoy the odour.

so, back to the password. another question i always wonder is tat, is password show one's personality? i was lucky enough to encounter a couple of password which totally reflects one's personality. i also encountered password tat you would least expected from a serious macho man. So what is the reason that made your password your password? was it because subconsciously doing so or was it jsut a random combination tat you made up due to the fact that everywhere is asking for password and you are almost running out of idea?

i can't stop myself from linking this to the first question. If password could tell one's personality and also your loyalty to the love one, the should password be another indicater for your love? if that is so, then girl might want to add another C to the list- cash, car, credit card, condominium, career and now code.

i wonder if there is anyone change their password to ihatexxxx when they breakup :)

Bossa Nova

have you guys heard of Bossa Nova ? it's one type of the music, like jazz, rock and etc etc. Here's a better defination of Bossa Nova from Wikipedia:

Bossa nova
is a style of Brazilian music invented in the late 1950 by a group of middle-class students and musicians living in the Copacabana abd Ipanema beachside districts of Rio De Janeiro. the name could be translated as "the new beat" or "the new way". In Brazil it became well known through the record "Chega de Saudade", performed by Joao Gilberto, and composed by Antonio Carlos Jobim and Vinicius De moraes. click HERE if you wish to know the detail of it.

When you talk about Bossa Nova, the song - The Girl From Ipanema definately is the classic of Bossa Nova. ther's quite a lot of version, but personally i like the portugese+english version. I will upload this song, and if anyone have not heard of it, download it and have a feel the soothing effect of Bossa Nova.

tragedy

The world just seems to be suffering more and more natural disaster. The frequency of disaster starting to make me believe that mother earth it's actually a gigantic monster and she is finally pissed off by what we did.

the 2 most recent major tragedies, Katrina and Pakistan's earthquake once again shake up people's fear of nature. however, both tragedies attract different attention from the media.

Katrina storm have a huge impact on U.S. poorest area and discrimination in the country once again arises in the media. the death toll is 1,000 if i not mistaken and the world media fighting to telecast the latest news from the disaster area. U.S shamefuly accept donation from other country including third world cuntry like Malaysia. Everyone has a pity on them

Pakistan earthquake resulted 40,000 death. As usual, front page story across the globe. But the difference soon observed on the 3rd day after disaster occured. The story has dropped from the front page to a tiny column on black n white pages. Some even stop reporting it. World leader besides giving sympathy and call up to the PM n send their condolenses, nothing much is done. The donation received is far less than what American received, which i believe is a ridiculous paradox.

No sensational coverage, no photo that brought tears to the world, no 24/7 update, earthquake disaster became just another disaster that soon being forgotten. to my surprise , me myself actually feel numb towards the earthquake and not much sadness was grown on me. In fact, Katrina disaster make me feel much worse

I'm embarrassed of myself for being easily influenced by the world media. I'm ashamed of myself only touched by sensational coverage instead of the value of life. Most of all, I'm disgusted by the world media.

Question

Have you ever realize that you do lose things as you are gaining it? It’s interesting that our life is only size of our both hands; you want to hold a stone, then you have to let go the sea shell that you are holding. I was always taught that I can achieve anything with my both hand, but teacher never mention about the limited capacity of my hands. Why do I always hear one side of the story only? How much more that I don’t know?

For no particular reason, surfing Frenster a while, and saw pictures of few friends that I once close with. The feeling is just beyond description when you saw the pictures that you once took with them. You will be involuntarily grinned, and then remembered what was going on when you were taking that photo. Then, from the photo you saw their new life, a life that you did not involve at all. I feel a little bit gutted, and plenty of regret.

Yes, I missed them. I am actually missing them, although I’ve never thought of them not even a single second in my past 2 years. I just can’t believe how good our brain can hide all this information that you thought you would never forget, and in the split second after viewing items belong to the past memory just flow out like a river.

For the first time, I realize that although I am gaining a lot in NZ, but I am losing far more things back in Malaysia. I am beginning to question the reason for me being in the oversea. What would happen if I am still in Malaysia? Do I still being myself? Am I studying what I wish for? Will I be happy?

I really love to know what would happen to me, if I choose the path that I have never taken.

VioPro

(Dunedin, 18th October) After days of rumours, finally the story has been confirmed. Yes, there's a disease outbreak in the City of Albatross, the experts called the disease as VioPro - Virus of procrastination

According to Professor Speight, who is an expert on human behabiour, he has been observing the students' behaviour for the past week and found similar symptoms among the Scarfies, which is:
  1. they stop going to captain cook. instead they go to library
  2. they are not queuing in front of clubs at night, but they queued up in front of central library 8 o'clock in the morning
  3. V replaced Tui or speight as the favourite drink
Professor Speight continue saying that public often fooled by the symptoms and acknowledge it as an auspicious sign for peacefulness. "this is the scariest part of the disease, nobody realise the existence of VioPro, but it can full them, but it cant full Professor Speight, ho! ho! ho!" said Proffessor Speight with a devilish Grin.

" if you look carefully you will realise things are not as simple as what you see." professor continued "look carefully and tell me what are they doing in the library." The news group decided to go on 'tour de library' with professor to verify the story.

Out of expectation, students are not studying in the library! they were chatting, playing Messenger, drinking V, eating shoestring, listening to MP3 and some were actually watching movie. " i want to study, that's why i am here," one of the student said. " but there's something in the air, i can't explain it to you, but it just make me don't feel like doing anything at all, it's weird!" Another student also gave a similar comment when ask the reason being in the library " well, it's exam period, of cause i got to come to library. i'm hell sure it's a much better place to study than Outback". When he was asked whether study in library is an effective way to face the exam, he replied, " of course dude, library is The place to relax yourself before you face the finals. you can chat with your friend, listen to Bach n even watch a free movie!"

certainly, students are not studying when are supposed to, and Professor Speight put the blame on VioPro. " unless a new vaccine is developed, or else this disease will stay on until the exam period is over." Professor Speight stated that he will start an awareness campaign and hopefully next year when the VioPro visits the city again the students would know what to do.

seagull

The first time I saw seagull was in ‘Finding Nemo’. I was curious that what kind of birds that always ‘mine…mine..’ around. Few months later I came to New Zealand. I was so excited to see all these ‘Mine’ bird. What’s more amazing is that, they are not afraid of human! I can get soooo close to them and they will only flee when I tried to catch them. I respect the bravery because the birds back home are much more chicken…hm, chicken bird, sound’s weird….

Anyway, seagull can be quite noisy, but they didn’t sound like ‘mine’ at all…but I am happy…

Bird

Rest, is to ensure that i can fly a further distance

Tortured

Do you enjoy being tortured? Then why can’t you get over it when your relationship has ended?
You cried, you screamed, you cursed, you swore. You were tormented, but the other half didn’t know. You would feel better if you knew that he or she was suffering too. But guess what, people moved on, you are the ONLY one that is still stuck in the time machine and refuse to go back to the future.
Why you would not feel better unless he/she is not any better? Haven’t you realized? He/she has nothing to do with you now! They can do anything they want to. They have the right to date people; they have the right to court another person. Why? Because you have broke up with him/her!
Stop looking for excuse to hate them…..you have no reason to think about him/her anymore

welcome to Malaysia

Being a Malaysian always give me mixed feeling. I love the country; i hate the country. i'm proud of my motherland; i am ashamed of this corrupted land

just read an article on the malaysiakini website, it's a story of curruption and police abuse. maybe people might argue that malaysiakini always exagerate the fact, and the story might be bogus. Sadly, being a Malaysian for 21 years, i believed the story is true.

if Martin Luther King had a dream for America, then I would need to have a fantasy for Malaysia. Martin dreamt for equality, i fantasised for equality and corruption-free.

Quoted from Martin Luther inspiring Speech:
I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal." I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners will be able to sit down together at a table of brotherhood. I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a desert state, sweltering with the heat of injustice and oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice. I have a dream that my four children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. I have a dream today.

I have a dream that one day the state of Alabama, whose governor's lips are presently dripping with the words of interposition and nullification, will be transformed into a situation where little black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls and walk together as sisters and brothers. I have a dream today. I have a dream that one day every valley shall be exalted, every hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plain, and the crooked places will be made straight, and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together. This is our hope.

chet baker

have you heard of Chet Baker?
well....i got to know him by serendipity. one day for no particular reason i have this crave for jazz music, so i typed Jazz in P2P, and and Chet Baker was the first artist that appeared.

on that day itself, i downloaded around 20 songs all from Chet Baker, but didnt listen to it at all.
few days later, in a rainy night, i was home alone. i had a cup of Nescafe, sitting in front of the computer, listening to the emptiness of the house. then, Chet Baker came into my mind, and i turn it on.....when i clicked play, i instantly knew that THIS IS THE SONG. song for this very moment....

it all happened 3 years ago....i'm still in love with this Jazz guru. i'm alone still. but i'm thousand miles away from my room. tea has become my current favourite.i'm drinking the green tea that my ex japanese roommate sent it to me and listenly to Chet Baker.

Things may change, but his music is still so lovely.....

if you have no idea who is chet baker, check out this song that i uploaded for you:

.....

geez, it's so hard for me to think of a title eh.....i'm just not good at it..
how long did you guys take to think of your website address? it took me quite a while...and its still not exactly a good name for a blog :)

anyway, thought that it's about time for me to write why do i create this blog..
i didnt tell people about this blog, because i dont like being labelled as trend follower...
the reason i create a blog because i want to find a place to write (duh!!)

nah..listen to me, i need a place to practice my writing skill....i am sick of scoring nearly full mark for content, discussion and introduction and yet score like 1 out of 5 for my grammer, sentencing, and flow for my report....it's just so frustrating...

having English as my second ( maybe 3rd) do put me in a disadvantage. but i'm not complaining. because i am proud of having mandarin as my first language, my mother language. being brought up in Malaysia allow me to pick 5 or maye 6 types of languages. but it just make me a jack of all,but master of non. i always mixed up all the languages like Rojak ( malaysia cuisine that mixed a lot of fruits together), and eventually speak the language that only malaysian understand....

oh well...if anyone of you found some grammer mistake, please do pin point out.....i'll appreciate that, cheers....

sigh.....

i burned myself yesterday...maybe i should say today......it happened at 2.30am....
currently i have only 9 fingers, didnt cause much trouble to me, except that i have problem tapping R1 button when i was playing PS2 :(

Hm...

Kind of Disappointed with blogspot...
it's far too simple to set up a blog. As a result, we can only do simple task.
BUT THEN AGAIN, if it's too sophisticated, i'm not going to be able to create a blog.
how ironic...

oh well...i live in a paradox world...i'm sure you are too...
good news is, a cup of Tui on friday night will make things straight :)

Tui:
1.one type bird which is endemic to New Zealand
2.a brand name for New Zealand beer produced since 1889

wow....

so this is it! my own blog~~!
cant believe it is as easy as 1,2,3 ( it is only 3 steps involved)...
no wonder Ah Kao, Ah Meng, Jack and even my hangover 24/7 neighbour Abu also can have a blog...
oh well....that's the beauty of technology....
if a scafforder can be an army on weekend, why can't the drunken be a bloogger?

anyway, congratulation to myself for posting the first ever post, Hip hip Hooray~!
