night walk

Time: 3.27AM. Temperature: 9.8 degree Celsius. Wearing a Hallenstein quarter pant, random t-shirt, Power brand slipper (worth RM9.90), and holding Apache MP3 player. Location: George Street. Feeling cold, and a little bit of lonely. It’s been a while since the last time walked alone at this hour. Used to be a bad habit of mine. Still remember last year I got this craved for Magnum and I went to 2-4 to have 1. It was 5 o’clock in the morning and 3 degree Celsius if I not mistaken.

Not a good song for this moment. I’m in NZ and its summer time. Surprised to see 1 Honda, 2 Taxi on the road, and 2 human beings on the street. I was walking straight, and this old lady was walking from left side towards my right. It seems like we might collide if none of us stop walking. None of us did, but we didn’t collide to each other. I passed our crossing point before her. She was 5cm behind me. I could feel her dull colour hair slapped on my back. If this is a movie, the screen would have pause on this shot for 2second to show that the actor n actress missed out each other. Of course, we didn’t stop ourselves from walking. It happened right in front of the University of Otago monument.

Walked past the St David building, the security lamp lighted up. No security around though. Not surprised. Continue walking towards Leith River that flow through our campus. I took out the ear sets. The water is still flowing through this place in such a low pace. Nothing seems to be moving fast in this small town. I sat down on one of the so-call art display; listen to the sound of river. Opposite me was the magnificent clock tower. It looks so charming in the night. Yellow spot light shoot on different spot of her. I believe whoever located the spot light wish to make her looks like a 17th century English young lady, hiding part of her face with a folding fan, and yet it can’t hide her beauty, and the charming her just mesmerized all the gentlemen around.

I wish I could be lost in this city. But I’ve been here for 2 years. I can even remember which shop is next to the French Bakery. Oh well, emotionally get lost I assumed…

Had enough of cold air. Finger crossed that I don’t get cold tomorrow. Still have to sit for exam on the day after. Satisfied, though, doing this that I’ve not done for long.
